Sheryl Sandberg will join us at Flow 2018

by Julien Codorniou

In July, we were excited to announce Flow, the first global leadership summit from Workplace by Facebook. Since then, we’ve announced an exciting list of speakers and guests. And now, we’re delighted to confirm that Facebook COO, Sheryl Sandberg, will host the closing panel discussion.

She will be joined on stage on October 9th by Joanne Smith, EVP & CHRO of Delta Air Lines, alongside John Taylor, CTO of United Way, to discuss how building more connected organizations can benefit businesses, people, and communities.

Building connected organizations

All around us, people’s expectations are changing.

By 2020, 35% of the workforce will be Millennials. They’ve grown up in a world that is more open and connected than ever before.

And they don’t see why the workplace should be any different. In fact, 53% of Gen Yers say they’d be more likely to accept a job if they could use the same technologies at work as they do in their personal lives.

If expectations are changing, organizations must change with them. It starts with getting connected

At the same time, customers are no longer just looking at our products and services. They’re looking at our values, our processes, even our supply chains, to make sure that our actions speak every bit as loud as our words.

And if they don’t like what they see, they’ll go somewhere else – 83% of shoppers will choose a brand they trust over one they don’t.

And if expectations are changing, organizations must change with them. It starts with getting connected.

Sheryl, Joanne, and John will share insights from their experiences connecting tens of thousands of employees and millions of volunteers through technology and a shared sense of purpose.

Connected organizations can help to create more connected communities, impacting lives in ways both big and small

They’ll discuss why connected organizations are more effective, and how they’ve operationalized best practices. They’ll also reveal how connected organizations can help to create more connected communities, impacting lives in ways both big and small.
